Why can't I suddenly see my e-mails on my iPad?

Neither can my friends. We can enter the internet but cannot see or send mail. Are the older iPads being shut out?

They would not be shut out. You say you enter the internet, so is this web-based email? What email provider? More info is necessary to help you.
