Is there a way to download video/pics to an external hard drive from the ipad with a cord? I have a 1TB external drive that I keep all my stuff on and wondered if there was some cord that could be hooked up to the charging port to download that type of stuff?I hope I explained myself well enough

You should be able to do via iTunes.

You can't do it directly from the iOS device to the external storage device... Need a computer between.
