Unable to disply on watch a picture sent in group text .

I received a picture in a group text, and it went to my Apple watch, but not my iPhone. I couldn't download on my Apple watch, and it didn't show up on my phone. Why didn't the picture go to my phone as well as the watch? The message didn't show up on my phone until I replied on the Apple watch and asked my friend to resend it. Then only my reply showed up on my phone.

I don't know, but your iPhone should have still gotten the message & photo even if the alert was received by the Watch. It was probably a glitch.
