Why aren't I getting SMS to my iPhone 5 intermittently?

This is driving me crazy. Just in the last few days I've found out that I'm not receiving all SMS that have been sent to me. Any ideas?

Have you called your wireless carrier and asked if it has been having SMS-related problems in the past few days? If not, go ahead and call.
