Why does my battery drain quick even after I replaced it?

Last weekend, my iPhone 5s got wet and the battery life started to suffer so I replaced it with a battery from Amazon. However, the battery is still draining fast. Is there something else that could be the problem such as a short in the phone?

I don't know. Is it possible that certain apps -and settings could be the culprit? By the way, how long does the battery typical last for you?
