Why can't I get my free app of the day?

hi, I have an App,e Air I Pad. I have had the free App of the day for a long while now, but in the past few days when I press to hold to the App Store to retrieve my free app of the day, it redirects me to page that says Error. This gas never happened before. How can I fix this, as I am missing out on free apps that I wanted to get? I am from Australia. Thank you. Carol.

Did you recently upgrade your OS? I remember some discussion of the App of the Day give away ending for the new devices on the new OS. Can't remember the particulars.
