Why does my iPhone 5S heat up after 15 minutes of use and keeps heating until the battery is depleted?

My phone iPhone 5s Heat up after 20 minutes use why ? And get really hot and then stop?

Sounds like a hardware issue that needs service by Apple or an authorised service center.
