How can I delete recents from page with all dots on top?

I hit button to go to page where I close all past usage. At top are recents I have contacted. Can they be deleted also

1. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
2. Scroll down to the Contacts section
3. Show in App Switcher > Phone Favorites > [OFF]
4. Show in App Switcher > Recents > [OFF]

Go to Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then scroll down and select "Show In App Switcher" and then disable the toggle next to "Recents".
