Where have my photos gone to?

OMG my photos have gone. I can't find iPhoto...

My Mac has been recently updated and now i can't find my photos or even iPhoto. Help?!!

How recent is "recently"? What OS X version did you update from and update to? Did you backup your Mac prior to updating it? If so, restore the backup. I assume it contains your photos. Did you check your "Pictures" folder? Are your photos associated with iCloud? If so, reconfigure iCloud with your Mac and wait for the photos to re-sync to it. Do you have a "photos" app?
