If it's asking you for an AppleID and password, and you don't have it the credentials, then NO, you cannot get around it. Since you bought it second-hand, it's probably stolen and either go get your money back, or use it as a paperweight.

That won't get past Activation Lock. Only the AppleID the device is locked to can get in it.
