How do I get rid of Multiple events on my iPhone calender?

Multiple events in Iphone calender

I'm creating a FaceBook event which lasts a full calender month.

A couple of my punters have said that instead of it showing on one day - as it does in most peoples calender, they have 30 events - one for each day!!! Which is clogging up their calender!!!

Is it me or is it them??? And what can we/ they do about it?

If you create an event starting, for example, April 1, 2015 and ending April 30, 2015, the calendar will display that event on each calendar day until April 30, 2015. That is normal.
