How to adjust position of touch screen on iPad Air?

The touch keyboard on my iPad Air screen suddenly began to position itself in the center of the screen making it impossible to creat email, etc. How do I get it to return to the bottom of the screen?

Thats not normal- reboot your device

There used to be an docking and undocking choice when the keyboard was on the screen. But I do not see that option. Might be a setting somewhere else.
