I just downloaded iphone software 8.2 for apple watch, how can I remove it from my iphone?

This morning I got message to update to software update on my Iphone to 8.2.
Only after downloading the software was I aware that it aws for apple watch.
Is there any way I can remove it from my i phone?

No, the AppleWatch app can not be removed. Hide it in a folder....or amass the wherewithal to ignore it.

The update contains much more then the watch app. Stability is improved and the phone looks snappier
