photos are not going through to email addresses

Does the email provider you're trying to send mail through have a size limit on emails?

Try another email account... or - store the photo on iCloud, or some other cloud storage service and share a link to the photo by email.

If it is because of size limit transfer the photo to dropbox and forward from there.
