Not able to power on my iPhone 5

about 13 hours ago my iPhone 5 got discharged and now when i am trying to charge it, its not getting charged. It takes time after discharging fir so long?

If you completely discharged to the point it shut down... give it up to 3 hours to be fully charged... if you're using the OEM charger and cable.

It only takes a wee bit of battery to get phone to power on when on charge. Sounds like something wrong. Did u hook up to iTunes to see if it recognises device? It may take 3 hours to charge from dead but it should still power on when put on charge
