How to add signature to text message automatically

i have an iphone 5, model A1428 GSM model. Trying to add an "automatic" signature to a text message.

Tried the settings, general, keyboard, shortcuts and it lets me set it up, however only types the shortcut when I type that in rather than the whole signature. any suggestions?

" Just Me, D" .... Hmmm, the shortcut works for me... ... Anyway, there is no automatic signature option for iMessage.

Are you typing the shortcut and then pressing the Space Bar in order to add the signature manually? As noted, there's no "automatic" signature.
