iPad Air would go black and reboot would bring it back - now it went black and will not come back.

It would go black and a two button reboot would bring it back - now it is like it is dead even when plugged in for 24 hours.

Are you using the Apple supplied charger and lightning cable? If not - do that... if so, if you have alternate charger and cable available - try those...if that's not successful, it sounds like some kind of hardware failure...
