Why isn't my slide the message to the left feature working?

This feature does not work in the screen lock mode

When you slide the message to the left, the X is the only thing that appears and not the Repy button to repsond to the message.

When you slide the message to the left, the X is the only thing that appears and not the Repy button to repsond to the message.

The quick reply option "DOES" work via the Lockscreen. I use the feature EVERY DAY, and most of the time I am replying from the Lockscreen. Reboot your device and try again.

When you slide the message to the left, the X is the only thing that appears and not the Repy button to repsond to the message.

Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > {enter passcode, if applicable}

Scroll down to ALLOW ACCESS WHEN LOCKED and make sure Reply With Message is ON.
