streaming Sky Go from ipad air to tv

Hi. I have the latest ipad air and would like to stream the Sky Go app to my tv's miracast adaptor. Does this even work? Don't want to waste my time like I have in the past messing around with streaming to find nothing worked. Please help.

I don't believe the iPad can use the miracast adapter at all...
