Why isn't my iPhone 6 ringing on incoming calls?

My Iphone 6 isnt ringing on incoming calls.

So frustrating, have checked settings and cant find any reason. Phone just doesnt ring, keep getting missed call notifications and when I ask the caller they say call went straight to voicemail.
ANy suggestions

Double check that Do Not Disturb is not active, the phone isn't in silent mode with the switch by the volume buttons... and the ring volume is not turned all the way down... Otherwise, the issue as you describe it is carrier related, and you'll need to troubleshoot with them.
