When I click on mail my side bar drops right away, why?

when i click on mail my side bar drops right away why??

when it drops I have to go to the right & scroll my side bar up all the time why????

I'm not sure I know what you're referring to. Can you post a screenshot? Is this in the native mail app or a third party app?
