Shared calendar

My calendar appeared on our other iPad which husband uses I now want to be in control of that calendar on my new iPad with my new email address which I use. Can I transfer all those entries to my new iPad

Are you sharing iCloud accounts? And all you need to do is log into your email account on your iPad under emails accounts in settings.
