Why won't the text tones work on my iPhone? They just stopped working.

My text tones just stopped working. I powered my phone down and back up again but it still won't work.
Help please !!!!

Is the phone in silent mode? Do Not Disturb turned on? Have you tried changing the selected tone to another? Then back again? Restored the iOS?
