why is my icloud on my macbook air not working for one contact only?

I receive text messages on my macbook via icloud. One contact for some reason turned red and now the messages cannot be delivered? I can still text them with my iphone 4 but the imac will not send or receive from this person on icloud? How do I fix this. All my other contacts are still working fine?

Are you using an email address for iMessage to this contact? Has the person removed that email address on THEIR end as a place they can be reached via iMessage? Or has the person stopped using an iDevice and iMessage all together?
