Why has my iPod Touch gone black and won't turn on or charge?

My ipod touch went black and won't turn on or charge

My ipod was working just fine, then i put it down for a little and when i go to pick it back it the screen wont turn on. OK i think its just dead, but when i plug it in it refuses to charge. What can I do? Its about 2 years old if that's any help.

Make sure you're using Apple supplied or Apple certified chargers and cables... Plug in and leave undisturbed for 3 hours or more... See if it turns on or not... If not, refer to qualified service personnel.
