if i own an ipad and iphone can i facetime from one to the other?

I own an I-Phone and an I-Pad mini. I want to be able to sync my music from I-Tunes to both devices and also be able to also Facetime from one device to another? Is this possible even though they are both using the same apple ID for syncing to I-Tunes?

Yes... Just set up an email address to use with FaceTime... Set the phone to originate calls from the phone number, and the iPad to originate from the email and call from to the other...
