How do you get the caps lock to stay on without pressing shift for each letter?

the A button says caps lock but is there a way to keep it on without having to press shift on every letter? so that i can easily type a full sentence in caps.

Quickly tapping the shift key twice turns on the caps lock function.

Correct. Just double tap the caps lock key.
