I want to reset the phone and it keeps asking for my Apple ID and I no longer remember.

I have tried everything to reset the phone without having to give it my Apple ID password. It is using an old e-mail address and I wrote down the password but it won't accept it or anything I can think of

If you know the AppleID - you can use Apple's password recovery functions... If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support
