I'm trying to do the family staring thing with my wife's iPad. What can I do?

She has her own account. I went through the process and sent her invitation. She received the invitation but there was no icon below to accept the invitation so it hasn't worked. Do you know what we're doing wrong?

Open Notifications via swiping down from the top of the screen...see if there's a notification there...if there is, tap it.

Is her iPad up to date? I initially had a problem with my son's and it was because I didn't realize his iPad was still on 7.2. She needs to be on iOS 8.
