Why did my iPad lose all my contact details? The names are all there, but no details.

I previously synced contacts from my new iPhone to my iPad. Worked like a charm. Great feature. Now my contact names are in my iPad, but with no contact details (phone numbers, email addresses etc all gone). The details are still on my iPhone. How do get these details back on my iPad?

Give it time to finish the sync process and make sure you're connected to the internet either via Wi-Fi or via cellular data. By the way, in what manner did you attempt to sync your contacts?
