Why can't i delete certain songs from my iPod?

I tried deleting all the music data from settings, but I went to music and the songs I don't want are there still.

Occasionally it happens... go into settings, and erase all content and settings. Preferably AFTER doing a sync and back up... then, restore the back-up and sync to iTunes and you'll be back to normal without the rogue songs.
