I don't own an iphone or any other external device and I get a login loop for imessage

What it says above. I'm in a permanent loop tat won't go away. I don't even remember what my password is or was or whatever, and have no real interest in doing anything with imessage at thsi time but still can't get it to go away.

If you don't own an iPhone, do you at least own an iPod Touch or a Mac? I can't see how you'd get an iMessage-related error without an iMessage-capable device. Having said that, what device are you experiencing the problem with?
