How to transfer music and photos from iPad to PC

Having trouble importing music and photos that I got from a friend from my iPad to my PC. The only solution that pops up when I Google is to pay $35 for a software.

How did you get the stuff ON your iPad? Download it? Using the iTunes app on the iPad? Or some other source?

Got the music and photos on ipad using itunes on a friend's computer

Unless you & the friend are in a 'FamilyShare' group - the stuff downloaded under their AppleID and iTunes is completely useless to you. Unless you use the friend's AppleID on your iPad... And since you synced your iPad to their iTunes - you will get an error when you go to sync to your iTunes library... to recover, you'll need to erase all content and settings... then set-up the iPad with your AppleID and sync to your iTunes library again.
