why can't I send an e - mail from Mexico to Canada using my ipad air. I can receive but not send??

I can receive messages but not send them. I am with eastlink.ca in Canada. I use port 465. Could you offer help

You need to verify the settings for your account and that they are what your email provider says they need to be.
