Why isn't my iTunes match loading past step 1?

iTunes match not loading past step 1

Just purchased iTunes match so I can have my 8000 songs in the iCloud (guess it's too sunny today for the cloud) and when loading it, I can't get past step 1 which is gathering info about my library...step 2 is matching the music w the store, but no idea why it's stuck. Anyone with a solution for me? Thanks...

With 8000 songs it's going to be stuck on Step 1 for quite a while. Might as well leave your computer on overnight while you're asleep. It's normal to take a very long time with that many songs.
