It is very important that I know who is calling(without looking at my phone) I only want the default tone to sound when someone not in my contacts is calling- everyone in my contacts has been assigned a specific tone. I only have use of one hand so it is not possible for me to pull my phone out while driving to see who is calling but if it's a person I know I want to pull over and get in touch. I have one tone(preloaded on IOS) set as my default tone. Every single person in my contacts is assigned a specific tone(either 3rd party tone, purchased on iTines, or custom created by me. It worked perfectly on my iPhone 4s and 5 What do I do to make this work?

All ringtones appear in my itunes library and play from there just fine, so there's nothing wrong with any of the tones.

You may try removing and assigning the ringtones again. I have had such issue once uploaded my back up and i needed to assign ringtone to every my contact.
