Stolen iPhone 6 plus what can i do?

I bought an iPhone 6 plus from this lady a few weeks ago. My son tested everything out IMEI was clean, the phone activated with T-Mobile and everything seemed good because the phone was working with the SIM for a few days. I had Boost mobile but i was going to switch to Tmobile. I put off activating the phone for about 2 weeks. When i went to activate it, service wasn't coming up but the T-Mobile people told me it would only be about an hour until i get service. 5 hours passed and nothing happened. I told my son to use his SIM card again but nothing happened either. He called to see what the problem was. They told us the phone was reported stolen. I just lost $600 i don't know what to do now.

If you paid cash, and don't know the seller... You're out of luck.

File a police report... If you know the seller, they can be charged with fraud. If you paid by credit card, you can dispute the charge.
