Why doesn't your suggestion to replace contacts on my iPad work?

I toggled my contacts off and on in my ICloud on the iPad. Nothing happened. I also lost all my pages documents and can't get them back. I feel like I'm being attacked by big brother. How can I get my stuff back?

What suggestion are you referring to? Anyway, I gather your contacts are associated with your iCloud account. If so, great. All you have to do is login to your iCloud account via a computer, select the Contacts icon, and then verify that your contacts are present. If they are, reconfigure iCloud with your iPad and then make sure that all of the toggle buttons are enabled in the iCloud settings. All of your data should re-sync to your iPad.
