How come all of my photos in my albums are gone on my new iPhone6?

How come all of my photos in my albums are gone on my new iphone6

I transferred all information and apps from my iphone4s to my new iphone6. When I go to my photos and click on "albums" my albums are empty!! Where are the pictures and why can't I see them on my new phone?

I do not understand the icloud very well and I totally do not understand the icloud photo library beta.
