Why is my data from Myfitnesspal not syncing from my iPhone to iPad ?

I have MFP app on both my iPhone 4 and my iPad how ever when I update my data on iPad it does not register on the iPhone. I've just bought the Garmin vivofit and want to pair it with both devices but need to have he data synced to start with. Appreciate any assistance.

The app needs to support syncing to a cloud based storage... iCloud, or another one... Then the apps on both devices need to access the same file in the cloud... Just set up the garmin device app to do the same thing.
