I have a white Macbook from 2008 running lion, why can't I update my computer any further?

Have an iPhone 6 and a white macbook from 2008 running lion.

Cannot update the computer any further. is there any work around for getting media from computer to phone with out buying a new computer. it works fine and there is no reason i should have to buy a new computer just to sync my phone.

I take it your version of iTunes does not do anything? There really isn't much you can do.

In addition, can you not upload your media to a cloud service like Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, etcetera, and then download it to your iPhone using the associated cloud service's iOS app?

i have macbook running iOS 10.7.5 lion.
i want to backup and restore iPhone 5s via iTunes 12.2 but it says error code 3194 and error code 14 .
i can not update iTunes anymore because it is the latest version supported by my mac.
any solution to this problem ?
