Why isn't my device being recognized in iTunes (I cannot chose device to sync)?

My device is not recognized in itunes, I cannot chose device to sync

All itunes versions and OIS software is up to date. When I plug in my iphone or ipad, the device is not registered in itunes.

APPLE you must get involved.

Apple doesn't read these forums, nor can they assist someone posting anonymously.

Take the device to Apple if you'd like a personal response.
