Why has my iPhone 5c background gone all white?

I have iphone 5C and have BBM app.

Two days ago the background went all white with no colour - there used to be blue across top banner and black across bottom. Now it is all white

try deleting and reinstalling the app.

New BBM update, no way of going back.
