Why am I unable to share Contact Information via text message?

I just bought iPhone 6, I tried to share a contact via a text, but I am unable to do so. I am able to send it via an "air-drop" but not a text. Please advise. Thanks

Why weren't you unable to share a contact via text message? It should work. All you have to do is initiate the Contacts app, tap on the contact you'd like to share, select "Share Contact", then select "Message", fill in the recipient and then select "Send".

Even i am also facing the same issue. I tried going to that contact and clicking share contact but its saying message send failure. Please suggett me solution. I am using iphone 6s ios 10.2

Try Reset Network Settings.
Reset Network Settings Settings>General>Reset>Tap Reset Network Settings. You may need to enter your wifi passcode back in afterwards.

Also, see if the contact can be shared via email. Choose email, rather than messages. It should work in messages though.

Make sure iMessage is toggled on.
Toggle on MMS in settlngs > Messages.
