how do i get iPhone 5S settings to find my Safari-generated new gmail password?

I had to change my Gmail password on my computer and Safari generated one for me. Now I can't get my iPhone to find it. I deleted and re-added my gmail account, but there are no options for the password to be brought in from my keychain, which is on both on the iPhone 5S and MacBook Air. Please help. I suspect the same will happen on my iPad Mini as well.

On the computer, open the Safari preferences window, hit the passwords tab, find the Google site in the list and select it...tick the box to show passwords for selected sites... Use the displayed password to enter into the appropriate places on your iDevices and you should be good from there.... Or, or an iOS device... settings...safari...passwords & auto fill...saved passwords... Check the list for the web site in question...
