Like many, I've been given an iPad Mini 3 for Christmas. It seems to have no audio output either through speakers or headphones - and the Mute button is definitely Off. The volume control is set midway. Faulty or am I being dumb? Help, please!

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and turn the volume to max and toggle your mute switch once or twice.
If all else Fails see if the giver has a Christmas receipt so you can exchange it
New devices come with the sound level up to a quarter to half pitch so you should have had sound right out of the box
