why do they expand the size of a phone when they make new ones?

The newer the phone is the bigger it gets such as the iPhone 6 is bigger than the iPhone 5

It hasn't always been that way, but it seems like most customers want larger screens because they are easier to view. I think it also gives the manufacturers room to add other features.

I've been on Android for about 6 years cause the iPhones were always too small. 3.5" screen? No thank you!

Apple knows how to milk the cash cow. Yes the larger screens were over due.

Because that's what people want. Larger screens to consume everything from videos, to browsing web pages, and even emails/texts are easier on the larger screens.
