If you've subscribed to a service - like Match - or a magazine - Apple will notify you of pending expirations... that's normal... all you do is log into iTunes and extend the subscription, or turn off renewal for the item(s) in question.

Do not click on any links provided in that email go straight to the apple web site and see if you have anything pending there

Most likely not legit. A subscription renewal will just tell you that it will happen on a certain date if you don't cancel and not direct you to enter a user name and password.

Forward the email to security@apple.com. You probably won't hear back but that is where phishing schemes and the like are investigated.
