Why do I keep getting deleted emails in my in box?

i keep getting deleted emails in my in box.

I get 80 + previously deleted emails in my in box. When I delete them, they are replaced by 80 + more previously deleted emails with earlier dates than the previous. I have deleted up to 5 months and they keep coming.

Wher are they coming from and how do I stop them?

My guess would be the server that you are using for email. Probably a pop or IMAP account. Some have settings that if you delete from iPhone it deletes from server as well but not all do.
