Why does the sound not work for text alerts, keyboard clicks etc

Went to Apple store and all settings are corect. I only get vibrate for text sometimes. Sometimes I get the sound. Same with keyboard clucks

Welcome to iMore! Do you get game sounds? Are they sounds that come from the bottom speaker? If so, try going to YouTube. Turn the volume down, then all the way up. Go back to the home screen and turn the volume all the way up. The volume control on YouTube and other places is separate from the volume control for the ringer, or top speaker. I don't know if that's your issue. But it worked for me twice.

Also try the silent switch on the top left hand side of the phone. This may be common sense, but if you're brand new to the iPhone you may forget about it.
